There might be scholars who would be interested in poking around up there (assuming they had the benefit of the wards Rand used atop Dragonmount) but the imminent apocalypse has their attention for now.

the Dragon. Or TaR. There are a lot of options there. It's the equivalent of 13th Century explorers finding the ruins of a 22nd Century city. Even a child's toy might contain things like batteries, which would be brand new and lead to new scientific thoughts and considerations. Or any of dozens of other things. Can you really not see the importance or potential applications of this?
Note also that I'm surprised that people haven't gone there rather earlier in the series, when the pressures of the coming LB were rather lessened. Even at the present Randland time, it's pretty clear that many people - AS among them - have been focused on things other than the impending destruction of the Wheel and its universe.
