Especially in the early parts of the book: When she's with the Wise Ones, she whines in her head about how she wants to learn. When she's with Rand, or talking with someone about him, she whines in her head (and out loud, actually) about not knowing how he Travels. When she sees the Sea Folk ship, she thinks to herself how if the WOs won't teach her at the moment, maybe they'll teach her about how to work the weather.
Not saying you haven't hit on anything, but I've always just attributed it to Egwene's (slightly annoying) drive to learn that's present in the book.

The little thing we missed, with new ideas from ToM chapter 1.

Didn't they tell Egwene the truth about Birgitte off screen in ACOS?

I don't think Nynaeve has that kind of ability in TAR. *NM*

It isn't an ability of TAR. It's the one power

Nynaeve doesn't have to act alone, she could always use Egwene's help

I like it: though there are also interesting RJ/Conan/Rand & Birgitte/Valeria parallels:

Isn't Alivia supposed to be involved with the "die yet live" part, somehow? *NM*

Well, I could kind of see Nynaeve using this technique on Rand since she already did it once *NM*
