Moiriane's never been "a typical Aes Sedai" and you know it - Edit 1

How many of you think that, even if Mat loses an eye, Moiriane won't thank him for saving her skin? I think she's going to be like "What took you so long?" Or something along those lines. And then proceed to make out with that old corpse...er I mean Thom.
And she's gotten a lot better with humility as the series has progressed. In fact, perhaps the White Tower bears as much responsibility for creating Elaida as Fain (and Elaida herself) does. This whole business of treating anyone else as too corrupt and/or incompetent to be trusted with anything is systemic in Tar Valon. It's also, IMHO, one of the large themes in the series, and Moiraines role in illustrating that is that as she got away from the Tower she learned that other people can be just as (or more) capable and honest as Aes Sedai are.
1) So will Mat finally get some credit?
Assuredly.
2) Will Moiriane be different from the Aes Sedai she was when we last saw her?
Of course. Speculating about how is part of the fun.
