She had just seen Rahvin fried and wanted to lay low for a bit before leaving Caemlyn, and decided to go get some wine on her way. As she was leaving the wine cellar, Asmodean was coming in.
I still think it was Lanfear, and I think it was because she promised to kill him and didn't understand how the wishes work in Finland (Puhutteko suomea?). However, if I thought Graendal were the culprit I would think she was going for the wine, too. Especially since Jordan said it was "a kill of opportunity" and not planned.
