I just think it would be cool if she wasn't for whatever reason. And think that is may be possible, however unlikely, that she isn't.

Consider One Power Balefire. The target doesn't even touch or feel the heat, because they are removed from the Pattern before the heat touches them.
I'm inclined to think that Semirhage is truly gone--but I've been wrong before (i.e. Graendal). We have seen evidence of True Power Balefire--remember in Crown of Swords when Moridin and Rand's Balefires intersected and removed Ishamael from the Pattern. Of course, in this case we have both Balefires working together, so it's difficult to separate the effects of each--but whatever happened to Sammael seemed pretty consistent with One Power Balefire.

I think any metaphysical effects of balefire would be felt before any physicality of balefire itself *NM*
