Elayne+Aludra+Setalle= ter'angreal Dragons? fionwe1987 Send a noteboard - 18/09/2010 04:38:11 AM
Ignoring latest ToM news, we know for a fact that Mat will be in Caemlyn for some time in ToM. He's got Aludra and Setalle Anan with him, and he's promised Aludra the entire metal wealth and foundries of Andor (and Cairhein and Tear and Illian too, I suppose). Stupid as that might be, we need to remember that Elayne has met both women before. Aludra was with Luca when Elayne was in the troop, and Setalle she met at Ebou Dar.

I have a feeling that Elayne, who loves making ter'angreal and has an engineering bent of mind, will be very interested in Dragons, and may even come up with ways to enhance them with the Power. Since these will be used in the Last Battle, there is no violation of the Oaths, so she's covered from that end.

Seatlle, who knows a lot about ter'angreal, will be a big help. Elayne will also get some idea of AoL OP weapons from the mini-shock lance she confiscated from the Black Ajah.

The problem is that she's pregnant, and unlikely to be able to do much. But it could well be that she'll test the Kin and find women who can do what she can, and one of the damane captives may well know how to make a'dam. At which point, it becomes entirely possible that this set of people comes up with cool OP weaponry, with Mat and Birgette possibly giving sound advice on what would work well in battle.

I agree. She couldn't make them if she was oath bound. *NM* - 18/09/2010 06:53:24 AM 193 Views

No. It would defeat their thematic purpose. *NM* - 18/09/2010 06:51:19 PM 193 Views
