So far, I've felt the storyline that will presumably culminate in some sort of battle at the BT has been one of the weakest in the series. I desperately hope to be proved wrong with some kind of revelation in the remaining books.
But lacking any additional information, it simply defies all logic that Rand has allowed Taim so much free reign with absolutely no oversight. Especially given how uncomfortable he clearly is with many of the things Taim has done. Sure, he doesn't have to believe Logain, but shouldn't he be keeping better tabs on the BT even without any such warning?
I used to harbour the belief (or at least hope) that Rand was playing some kind of cagey strategem. Like he knew what Taim was up to but had some kind of plan in mind for dealing with it. There is some precedent for that in the way he clearly knew more than he let on in the Aiel waste during TSR. But the time for him to have acted on any such knowledge is long passed and I can't convince myself anymore.
The other part of the BT storyline that doesn't wash with me is the sudden enthusiasm both sets of AS (Tower and rebels, prior to TGS) developed for the idea of bonding Asha'man. The rebels at least were invited to, but IIRC they had been discussing the possibility already. But the Tower AS, REDS no less, coming up with the notion almost simultaneously? While I have no doubt that the idea originated with and was pushed by the BA, I still can't imagine it ever getting to the point of an expedition being sent to the BT while the Tower was still under siege.
Like Rand's refusal to monitor Taim's activities, the idea that Pevara abandoned both the siege and her private BA hunt to go haring off to the BT simply does not compute. Orders from her Ajah head be damned. In fact, I can't believe that the head of the Red Ajah could issue such a command and remain head of the Red Ajah.

What proof do you have that Logain is good? Or proof that Taim is bad, that Rand would know?

Absolutely none, which is the point.

Of course! Rumors from a semi-retired terrorist Rand has never spoken to before = Verin's book.

That's EXACTLY why Egwene would do it.

Now, now. I'm trying to play nice and stipulate good intentions and a sense of justice on her part.

There's just as much evidence for the same sort of motivation for Logain
