In the prologue, titled “Distinctions,” Lan Mandragoran rides on toward death; Perrin Aybara, Lord Goldeneyes, has a disturbing dream; Galad leads the Whitecloaks into harm’s way; one who has left humanity behind creeps through the Blight; and the Blight border faces invasion.
3) "The one that left humanity" - probably Fain. But can be a new character or thing. If it's Fain, what's he doing in the Blight? Is there possibility that link between Moridin and Rand so strong that it gives false reading to the Fain's "radar"?
4) I'm very disturbed with the Lan's storyline right now. It looks like it would be another meaningless bloodbath, where tons of good people die for nothing.
Lan has been riding towards death through the entire series, so I still don't think he'll die
Perrin = poo. I swear, if he whines about being a Lord in the Prologue I might have to skip all of his chapters (but not really)
Galad - I loved his PoV in the KoD Prologue so this is the part I'm looking most forward to. It'd be funny if "harm's way" is Perrin's group.
I agree with you that it's Fain. Slayer fits the "left humanity behind" part, but he wouldn't need to creep through the blight. Interesting idea on his radar. Which I will now call Randar!

Good to know, even though I'll probably skip it and wait for the full book. *NM*

My money's on Slayer or perhaps Moridin rather than Fain.

Left humanity behind... could be Fain, Slayer or Moridin I guess. *NM*

Graendal at one point considered herself "no longer merely human" or word to that effect *NM*

That would be a great easter egg as an ebook exclusive (leaving it out of the full printed release). *NM*

Is it just me, or does "Distinctions" rank as the flattest-sounding prologue title to date? *NM*

"Another" meaningless bloodbath? Aren't most people annoyed at the lack of such thus far? *NM*
