They'd be spending years trying to figure out why they can't open a Gateway to Paran Disens' ruins or some such well-known city before giving up. Of course this presupposes the possibility that there was a tool during the Age of Legends that enabled them to Travel to other planets without seeing their destinations first and this tool didn't survive the Breaking.
