i vaguely remember that the fade in the DF meeting was supposed to an earlier version of SH, but are the clues for this? also should a DO invested fade be as cowering towards ishy as he was?

and lastly have we seen all the DFs out in the world in the books from that meeting yet? or was it just to show how spread DFs are? there was:

I tend to think most of the scene was to illustrate the pervasiveness of DF. In every society, at every level of society, and many from everywhere.

1. a shienaran soldier (ingtar)

indeed

2. a possible noble illian woman who likes showing off her body

I don't think we've even met a noble woman from Illian in the story.

3. a swan necked domani with long black hair

Could be anyone really, someone on here posited Melisar Chamdar, but I don't think her description really fit either.

4. a tinker

Perhaps we'll find out in the next book ... Egwene and Rand both had Tinker moments in TGS.

5. two AS (i guess one is liandrin?)

Liandrin and Verin I'd say. Fits the timeline and the story.

6. a high lord of tear

I'm thinking it's Wieramon

7. a high ranking andoran officer

Well it's probably not Bryne :)

8. a slender male sea folk

We haven't really encountered many sea folk men so I'd be surprised if we've "met" this one.

rereading the passage i'm guessing the telltale sign from the myrddraal is its smile? is it that fades don't have a sense of humour or something?

Yes, that seems to be the distinguishing characteristic. I think the first real Proto-SH was the Fade that later came after Carridin and his family.
Domani Drag Queen in the White Tower ... Aran'gar watch out!
