Which drive me nuts, but overall I think it's almost excellent.
The Good:
Rand is pretty spot on for this stage of the story. A little haggard but still fairly pretty. It's about the closest representation to my mental image of him.
Semirage looks pretty cool when you take in the fireball and everything. This is probably the best fireball I've seen depicted for the series. And I like the sort of snaky quality to her image.
The Bad:
What the hell is up with all the smoke? These people are outside for Christ's sake... I guess it's a good gimmick so people don't pick apart the artist's poor scenery skills, but it's way overdone here.
Min is completely wrong. Not only is she nowhere near that hot, but her hair is too long and too curly, her coat is way too long and she has some pretty severe plastic surgery scars next to her left eye. The worst part is she looks completely lifeless. She just about looks like a porcelain doll.
The odd, heavy brushstrokes all over the image. Maybe they're a trademark of the artist or something, but they're distracting here. Especially in the smoke in front of and just below Semirage. It almost looks like the viewer should be able to make out an image in the smoke, and there's almost some sort of symbol there?
And as cool as Semirage looks overall, I can't help but feel like this was a missed opportunity. She's pretty hazy and all wrapped up and not wearing anything close to what she's supposed to be wearing.
I could go on, but I'll close with more of a doubt than a certainty, and I'm sure some kind folks here can help me out. Am I remembering incorrectly, or is Rand's sword on the wrong hip? I can't honestly remember if he's right or left handed, but somehow the sword just seems like it's on the wrong hip for some reason. Help me here...thanks.

IMO, the more it looks like D&D, the better to attribute the art to other fantasy settings.

I like artwork, so I don't think being an e-book cover is an excuse.

Ummm, didn't Min grow out her hair during her stay in the White Tower? unless she cut it afterwards.

The smoke around Semi could represent the Mirror of Mists being dissolved by Caddy/Ny's ter'angreal. *NM*
