I go fast, then slow, then fast again. It all depends on the pace of the particular WoT novel, how much work I have, how long my commutes are, etc.
I tend to start fast, then slow down as I near the halfway mark, and the end.
I grab the prologues when I can because I'm usually starved for more Wheel of Time.
Under other circumstances, I might read the whole thing quite slowly, to savor the experience.
It's almost a non-answer...

1. Do you like to tear through the book, reading as fast as possible? If so, why?
2. OR, do you like to take your time? If so, why?
3. OR, do you have another method?
4. If the prologue is released early on a book, do you like to read it when it is released?
Personally, I love to read the books slowly, so that I don't miss things and have to reread. I also don't like to read the prologues ahead of time because then I either get too excited for the book and annoyed that I don't have it, OR I forget the prologue by the time the book comes out and get annoyed I have to reread.

I read books fast. Reading books slow to me = cutting myself off at certain chapters to ration it.
