I was thinking earlier how, in other series, the whole "forever circle" of the WoT would be terrible beetnemesis Send a noteboard - 09/09/2009 05:49:08 PM
And how, with a few changes, the Forsaken could easily be reflavored into antivillians.

The whole idea of endless death and rebirth, with nothing ever really changing... well, it's given positive connotations in WoT, but it could easily be reflavored to, "Nothing ever changes. Nothing you do matters. You're trapped in an endless cycle for eternity."

The DO is trying to break humanity free of its cage, and the Forsaken are those who have rejected the complacency of the vast majority, and actively want to help shatter the world so that humanity can actually grow.

(Of course, you sort of have to ignore all the horrific atrocities and pure evil of their souls. Eh.)
I amuse myself.
