So why not give it to Moridin then? - Edit 1

You fail to provide a good reason for why they left the CK behind yet you still call the idea stupid if true. You also forget that Rand, himself, realized how dangerous the CK was and voluntarily destroyed it himself.
He realized how dangerous he was, not the sa'angreal.
He realized that no mortal could properly wield that amount of power.
Except that the could, and have done so to cleanse saidin. It was also one of only two plans made to destroy the Shadow.
The CK was the pattern's answer to the taint, but it was not needed for the Last Battle-- which is why the CK was not mentioned in the Karethon Cycle. Therefore you idea of the CK doing a lot of good for the light doesn't make any sense.
Is Nynaeve mentioned in the Karaethon Cycle? Is Egwene? Just because something isn't prophesized doesn't mean it doesn't play a large role is setting up the Dragon Reborn for his victory. The prophecies are also vague and filled with symbolism.
The CK in the hands of a madman like Rand was a near ideal situation for the Dark One.
Really? More ideal than in the hands of the Nae'blis?
Rand very nearly did the Dark One's work for him by destroying the pattern.
Moridin would have intentionally done a better job.
It may not have been the primary plan, but I think it is quite reasonable that the Dark One left the CK for Rand on purpose. I have yet to see a better explanation for why the CK was left behind.
The better explanation is the logical one - it was overlooked or impossible to steal it at the time. We don't even know if SH looked into the box. More likely he sent Elza and she fetched the band. The thought of straying from her mission would incomprehensible when serving a walking terror like SH.
