There is also this tweet from BS which I missed until I saw it posted on dragonmount:
"8% cut from Chapter 80. In other news, the chapters have numbers now. 94 chapters in the book plus a multi-scene epilogue."
Fun, Fun.

I didn't really calculate with expected word counts, but just like that it sounds like way too many chapters for a WOT book of the planned length (eg: 55 only for LOC, 58 for TSR, 50 for TGS). Shortening the chapters too much would definitely change the style of WOT.
It sounds like the trend already a bit present in TGS of writing too short scenes for a WOT book (Brandon had a hard time achieving as much in a single long scene/POV as RJ used to, and chopped things in multiple short scenes scattered in different chapters, occasionally with some redundant elements in them - Aviendha's chapters felt like that in TGS. RJ would have made that two longer POVs with her, no more) and switching POV too often is gonna get a bit worse in TOM.
It's not really a good news, I think (hard to tell before reading the thing, though). It's the one aspects of TGS I was the most critical of (one of the very few aspects that actually was detrimental for real to my enjoyement and that didn't feel WOT enough to my taste, the other was the poor care taken to situate us clearly on the timeline along the book, the way Jordan did).
Oh well... hopefully Brandon has not KevinAndersonized the book too much (too short chapters, too short scenes that feel like you're reading a screenplay more than a book... Brandon's (avowed)problem with including the side characters was in part due to that.. he focussed the scenes so much, the scenes which RJ would have made longer with side stuff, taking the opportunity to make the side characters appear briefly in them and their storylines progress by short bit and pieces). He tends to have that flaw a bit in his own books, the earlier ones anyway (those almost dialogue only scenes and single purpose scenes...). There's not something inherently wrong with that, but it's never been the style of WOT.

Well I don't think it was too big of a scene or RJ would have written it I think.

You say that as if RJ was able to write all the scenes he wanted to before he died.

Lan's death and Nynaeve's reaction would fit "heart-wrenching", Cadsuane's not so much for most *NM*
