Why don't you answer some of the issues I raised then, instead of keeping it vague..? Mik Send a noteboard - 26/07/2010 11:58:02 AM
Basically you interpret stuff like the name Ba'alzamon or the poistion of the Nae'blis in a clumsy way that it fits with your idea, though the more obvious interpretations are at least as likely. At the same time you ignore what is indicated in the PoV of SH and Moridin (contrary to Luc's/Isam's PoV, which immediately makes clear that both are one being) or what RJ/BS said, which implies that we have two separate characters, and believe those things were only said to fool us.

All in all, it's most unlikely that Moridin and SH are linked into a being like Slayer, and there is no real convincing evidence to support it, IMO.
All you do is take vague swings at my supporting points. Nowhere do you actually try to counter the harder arguments I raised.

1: Why did the killing of Carridins family stop for 2 months right after Ishamael died, while SHv0.5 made that promise and it was SHv0.5 that was carrying it out up untill that point? Note that this promise wasn't forgotten at all and that -in the end- Moridin ordered Carridin had to be killed according to SHv0.5's promise.
You think RJ just went out of his way to hide this in his books for kicks, eh?

- My answer: The killing stopped temporarily because Ishamael was linked to SHv0,5.

2: Explain to me how the Watcher could be Moridin when The Watcher "ghosted soundlesly through the trees", following two very experienced channelers holding the Source (thus having heightened senses) in a leafless forest at noon, littered with brown leaves where those two channelers stumble around to just to keep their balance. (ACoS - Patterns within Patterns)

- My answer: Humans always make noise for a channeler to pick up in situations like this. However, we know that Fades can move without producing any sound! (once or twice back in TEoTW, we see a Fade moving without making any sound)

3: Explain to me if the Watcher is Moridin how he noticed that(apparently from some distance) Sammy had let the link between himself and Granny dissolve? Note that the Watcher also knew that both Sammy and Granny still held on to the Source.
How could the Watcher -if it was Moridin- tell the difference?

- My answer: No human, be it male or female can see this link between a male and female channeler or see it disolve. We have direct proof from the books. (Nyneave in KoD, Demandred & Aran'gar in WH)
We do know Shaidar Haran can see & smell weaves. It was a Fade that saw the link dissolve and that saw that both Granny & Sammy still held on to the Source.

4: How could the Watcher tell Sammy held the Source in the first place, given the Watcher was following the deadly duo by Grandaels easy-to-follow shiny red dress (indicating a fairly big distance).

My answer: see answer 3.

Please give me your answers to these four easy questions and we'll talk about what you call 'pretty weak evidence' after you give a reply with some real content?

Thanks.
