Ishy/Moridin starts off as a regular FS.
Then he gets stilled/burnt out/given a body that can't channel.
He uses the TP more and more, and the DO has a tie to him that won't be broken (since he is TP-addicted).
The presence of the DO inside Moridin grows.
As the seals break, this means that the DO can "take over" Moridin's body and twist it into SH (interestingly, compare this to when LTT was driven insane. Maybe this is similar to how it was done, and Ishmael's "healing" was really just channeling the DO out of LTT).
Moridin used to go further from SG (while he was still mainly Moridin) but now that he's becoming dominated by the DO he is restricted more and more to SH's "operable" area.
Now, compare SH's dark presence with that of Taim and Moridin. Moridin's DO presence is so advanced that it has basically gained it's own consiousness inside his body. It's like your shadow gaining a mind of its own.
