I would rather think at the moment that this points to an assassination on her, probably by the Shadow (Gray Man, Slayer, Aran'gar?), or maybe by one of the remaining blood knives.

But might mean something completely different.

I agree about the blunt dagger but I'm not sure about assassination (it's "tame" for a viewing about violence, for Min. Min's are usually graphic in that case - blood, bruised aura and so on. Gawyn's, the Tinker in TDR, the viewings about the Tower Coup, the one about Colavaere, what she saw for people in Tear in KOD etc. The one of Sheriam is so far the exception - and so far the only viewing about violence that wasn't obvious to Min herself)

Min also had a Viewing about the Tairen High Lord Meilan, that he "would die by the knife", and a bit later he is asssassinated.

We don't know what she's seen, though.

Unless I'm mistaken, all the viewings about violence/death Min has described so far were symbolized by the effect on the victim. She sees curtains of blood, people covered in bruises, the Tinker had her face covered in blood. Even Sheriam in a way. The viewing represented what she saw as she died.

We have another viewing of a weapon (an axe for Elayne), and it doesn't seem too likely it represents a threat by the axe to her. More likely she will be the done sending people to the executioner.

I guess it's a safe bet that if Min thought the knife viewing could mean anything, it means that really wasn't to her a viewing typical of someone's death/wounding. And the "death/violence viewings" were so far the ones she seems to interpret the most easily. She seems to almost always know what those mean (Sheriam being one exception, so far).

One interesting possible link is a connection to Aran'gar that has yet to play out. We tend to forget hers the name of a duelling dagger, and Egwene's tests has so far tended to contain elements of twisted truths (in it Beldeine wasn't only her Keeper, she had been made the pawn of the BA).

Yes, this could indicate that Beldeine will somehow become involved with the Shadow, maybe even specifically with Aran'gar.

If she fails to seize Graendal's network (which is quite possible, especially if they don't meet soon... once Graendal dies her secrets will die with her), I guess Aran'gar might be looking for pawns to achieve her goals (whatever they are.. Beldeine - compelled for instance - could fit with many people... the test possibly links her somehow to Egwene amd a non-BA AS might be useful now. Then she has ties to Karldin, from Logain's faction. She is often around Cadsuane (who doesn't seem to like her much.. she humiliated her for snubbing Min in TGS). Of course, she is in Tear, where maybe Rand will return.

I guess it's not totally impossible someone like Beldeine has been compelled to be Graendal's spy near Rand. Graendal almost certainly has one, she always knew too much. An AS is a good choice, but she would pick a non-BA, because she knows Mesaana is in the Tower. Beldeine is also a side player who has access to the main players, even more now that she bonded an Asha'man close to Logain/Rand.

If she were Graendal's spy, maybe she'll be among those Aran'gar managed to identify and use for her own ends. That'd be a good shorcut instead of an elaborate story of Aran'gat trying to get back near Egwene or to get Rand killed. She'd seize control of the person Graendal already had there.

I don't know.. I guess it's the fact the dagger is black that made me think immediately of Aran'gar.

I doubt that Beldeine is a BA, because otherwise Elza had likely learned about this and mentioned it, since she also learned that Fera is a BA, when they were together for a short time.

Elza didn't know everyone who is BA among the group that came to Cairhien. She said something like "none of her heart was in Cairhien, but she had learned during the trip that Fera was BA". She made it sound like she's the only "new" BA she's actually learned about. She doesn't mention any of the other BA we know from that group, just Fera.

There's no evidence either way about Beldeine, though. In TGS she didn't seem so nice, and that's about it (could be said of quite a few non BA AS...)

*Shrugs*. Perhaps both her and Karldin are DF and they've been paired up on purpose by someone, to secretely make them a lot more dangerous as they can link. I would be surprised if Taim has not managed to infiltrate at least one his men among Logain's faction. He never trusted Logain.
