You didn't have to convince me that what ever sword Rand found it's not Justice.
a) it's not old enough Justice is over 1000 yrs old this one is only 'centuries old. However by the same logic it can't be Amalasan's either becaue his sword too is over 1000 years old.
b) the dragon(s?) on the scabbard are just so wrong as to be a dead giveaway. If you read between the lines Hawkwing didn't like channelers, dragon or AS. He's simply not going to paint dragons on a scabbard nope, not ever, no how and no way, not even in your wildest dreams. It Just. Ain't Going. To. Happen.
I was also thinking about the scene in tGH. Did Rand recognise Justice? Or did he see Hawking and automatically assume it was Justice? I mean what else is Hawkwing gonna carry, a butterfly net? He's got a sword, of course it's Justice! What if Hawkwing was bored with Justice and decided to take his second best sword, Hung Jury? "It's only a few thousand Seanchan for Light's sake! Hung Jury will be just fine!" Would anybody know? I mean maybe a few closest friends but that's about it. If it's Hawking and he's got a sword than it's Justice. My whole point is it's very doubtful that Rand in that scene would have actually recognised Justice, even if it bummed a silver off him.
What bothers me most is the 'oddly' comment. I mean the ONLY way LTT could recognise it is if it was his sigil, but maybe the dragons are off enough that LTT doesn't recognise them? maybe he's too crazy? Maybe it was a very bad word choice by Sanderson? In any event if the mystery isn't cleared up by the prologue, there will for sure be a bunch of new theories written.
