helped free Semirhage?

She said she had Compulsion on her that Semirhage had to remove. She then gave Semirhage the adam.
1. Was this Elza? Why would she be compelled then? Or was this a non-darkfriend who had compulsion used on her?
Verin used primitive compulsion on the captured Aes Sedai. And it was Elza.
2. How did she get the adam?
