I don't see Logain in this role - he seems much more of a noble turned general, and less of a leader inspired by a cause. He seems to have been motivated more by the fact that he was a channeler and became convinced of his own greatness, whereas I think "Shadar Nor" was a title that became associated with Latra Posae because of her unyielding dedication to destroy the shadow.
In a word, I think Logain is more about the crown and the glory than any principle. And despite having a faction in the Black Tower, he doesn't seem to have been inspirational enough to get them to fight Mazrims' Asha'man.
