I know I confess this to my eternal shame, but I'm not that knowledgeable about Arthurian mythology. I thought his sword was the one he pulled from the Stone (that is, Callandor)?
Callandor refers to Caliburn, which later became Excalibur. Arthur later received a scabbard which possessed magical properties, most commonly protecting him from harm in battle, or not bleeding from wounds. (The times in all of this are fairly relative, there is just so much Arthurian mythology that it's impossible to give a unified timeline, so I'm giving a most common scenario)
In most of the later legends Morgan ends up stealing the scabbard and it is used against Arthur in battle. Nimue comes and saves the day, and eventually the scabbard is lost, and once it's lost never found again.
