I have this feeling that Elaida is going to surprise us, and Demandred is in Caemlyn... fionwe1987 Send a noteboard - 06/06/2010 08:33:16 PM
Entirely too many times, people have projected their own belief that she will not withstand the a'dam onto BS's "suggestive" smirks and smiles.

Something tells me that Elaida's arrogance may end up being an asset here, at least for some time. Since this is going to be an onscreen RAFO, it seems to me that the Seanchan getting Traveling will depend on Elaida caving (meaning we'll see her being tortured for the info, maybe with Tuon present, or doing the job herself). Which would imply none of the other captives know Traveling (entirely possible).

I think Elaida will end up holding out under the pressure, still believing that she is the Amyrlin and that a rescue might come at any time. This may even be her redemption arc.

As for Demandred, I have a feeling the "little thing from books 4-6" has something to do with him. Wasn't it in book 6 that Demmy sees Elayne in TAR Caemlyn?

That, added with Brandon's association of Demandred with Foresaken around Elayne makes me think he's around Caemlyn.
