Rand tells e.g. a Myrddraal in EotW, ch.34: "The Light blast you...". Or Weiramon in LoC, ch.4: "Light-blasted fools!"

If RJ used these expressions, I think one could argue it's legitimate for a Randlander to just say "blast" as a swear word. But I agree that BS uses "blast" or "blasted something" more excessive than RJ.



BS mentioned writing with Harriet back and forth about a word she thought was really strange, and his reply to her was that RJ had used it at least once before. I don't remember if he said what the word was. If he didn't, maybe it was blast.

I don't consider light-blasted being the same as blast though. Maybe I'm just being stubborn, but "light-blasted" isn't weird to me because the word blast has been used for a long time in that way. A "blast of wind"
I've said the word so often now that it's starting to sound weird in my head.
