Could Rahvin turn Rand into a fishman if he was just there in Spirit? newyorkersedai Send a noteboard - 26/05/2010 10:19:05 PM
I figure when your Spirit has no anchor, you're dead. I like your idea and hadn't considered it before. I don't know if drain is exactly the concern, tho.

We know that you're much stronger when you're there in the flesh (moggy on Rand & Rahvin). I don't know that you'd get weaker if you TaR-via-Travel ("TvT";) and loiter.

Perrin receives warnings from Hop-tastic (imagine his dialogue in a Caribbean accent) that he's sending himself "too strongly." I *think* that warning is about ripping your soul away from your body.

Consider now a general prohibition about Excessive TaR Presence (or ETaRP). I guess it's about putting too much of yourself there. When you go in the flesh, there's *nothing* left of you in the real world. Just typing that sounded awful, so I understand why the WO wig out.

What I'm just now considering is that it opens up the chance to be really *changed* by someone else in TaR. Rand's De-evolution at Rahvin's hands is starting to make more sense to me. They can mess with your Spirit a bit when you're Dreaming, but your body, your physical brain with its grooves, and a part of your Spirit are still there.

I figure they could go at you like a mind & body surgeon when you're there in the flesh. Birgitte's experiences - getting the boot from TaR and being turned into 'lil Gitty - also sound right. She may have been forcibly Traveled out of there; I think this would be special to unborn people who have no body to go back to. Becoming a child works even better (read: requires no special theories about souls, rebirth, & Heroes of the Horn ("HotH";)) since all of Birgitte was in that place.

I have a few mundane my reasons as to why Moghedien probably wouldn't and couldn't do that. - 26/05/2010 11:39:14 PM 624 Views

If she could enter TAR she could drag an AS in with her, compell them and make them take it off - 27/05/2010 07:14:26 PM 712 Views
