I know several men who loved it, but many more who won't even watch it. I've tried.
The local cinema here kept it running once a week for over a year after its release, and in the US I believe it's the highest-grossing foreign movie ever? Of course, if people refuse to watch something, they can't know if they like it.
Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon grossed $128 million.
Amelie grossed $33 million in the US.
Although if we really want to be pedantic and actually use the words "foreign language" to just mean language and not production, I think Mel Gibson's propaganda film, The Passion of the Christ, stands at $370 million. That would make it, by far, the highest grossing "foreign language" film. But just by your words, "foreign movie", CTHD is number one.
