When Castle was at Kate's apartment, I was on edge at first because it was so reminiscent of how Rook and Nikki hooked up in the book. I'm glad it didn't happen because the tension is oh-so-lovely.
I am impatiently waiting for next Monday. I have to say that this episode feels like a step-up for the show.

I agree with you completely. I LOVE the funny, but they are doing the tension/drama better as well. I did think the stalker/killer was a little silly, but I really can't complain with the way they maximized everything (Castle/Beckett/FBI badass lady, Castle/Beckett/pancake teasing, Castle running down the street, etc)
