In 1977, when I was eight, I wanted to go see Star Wars. Mom thought it might be too much for my seven year old little sister and me so took us to see some animated movie instead - Ralph Bakshi's The Wizards! My mother was horrified and the following week we went to see Star Wars. Too funny.
in 1988 the family was all together for Thanksgiving and ended up going to the movies. The only movie starting soon was The Accidental Tourist. So we all piled into the theater and sat through the most boring movie on earth. We still joke about it more than 20 years later.
