It didn't have the flash & bang that the last episode did with the Cave of Numbers....but it was certainly a good episode.
Ok...so this is a very interesting point. Their not crashing on the Island has push-back ramifications reaching at least 35 years (assuming that Jack is in his early/mid 40's). This can fundamentally change quite a few things.
Here's an example. We know from the last episode that Locke is still on speaking terms with his father (meaning he may not be a complete scum bag)....meaning there is a very good possibility that he never pulled a con job on Sawyer's mom....which means that that Sawyer's dad never lost it and pulled a murder/suicide. Which means that Sawyer would be a completly different man from the one that we know.
In sideways world, Jack has a son from some woman. His dad is still the man that we kinda know him to be. However Jack himself seems to be akin to the same Jack on the island. Interstingly enough, Jack's self-assessment that he wouldn't be a "good father" kinda didn't ring true with the hunting down of his son at the musical tryout thing...
And then is it me, or is Jack one of the only ones who is really catching onto the fact that something is wrong in sideways world.
Yeah...this was a suprise. So I guess that no matter landing/not landing on the island...Claire & Jack are supposed to be releated.
I don't know if I would characterize Jack as being self-righteous. I would characterize him as being frustrated, irritated, and tired of being manipulated. Whether its "good for him" or what not is besides the point.
So I was thinking about this. How long do you figure that Jack, Kate, and Hurley were in Darmaville after they came back on the 2nd flight? Because this is the only time they would have had the opportunity to communicate to Sawyer, Jin, and Juliette what they were doing while they were gone.
My initial guess is that Jin said it to save the Others life...seeing as how that didn't work, he took it back. The motivation for that was that he wants/needs help getting to the temple, because Sun may be there.
Ok, so first off....she knows that he is FLocke. She has called him "her friend"...never mind what physical form he has taken. That's unusual...
I'm almost sure of it actually. Jacob had the very necessary reason to get Hurley & Jack out of the temple. I was thinking that it was because they were the only 2 at the temple who were still "candidates"...but Said is still there.
He is a great actor. Its not just his character, but his acting as well which really sets him apart in this ensemble cast. Ok....this question just came to me.
Think through this scene...Jack gets home from the hospital and showers up, and comes out putting his shirt on...which is where he notices his scar. Did we see his left arm? Did he have his shoulder tattoo?
This slays me. I watched Seasons 1 through 5 on DVD. So this is my first season catching it live.

LA: Jack suddenly has a kid named David, who is a gifted pianist. Who is the mother? Dogen is in LA too, has a musical boy as well.
Jack has this scar from the appendix operation he had to get done in season 1, but his mum said it happened as a kid, which he does not really remember.

Christian's testament mentions Claire, surprised faces all around.

On the island: Jacob keeps appearing to Hugo (who still has the best lines in the show "I lied to a samurai". Apparently someone is coming to the island and needs help finding it. Of course self-righteous Jack trashes the lighthouse, because his childhood house was reflected in its mirrors.

Claire is the new Rousseau and not exactly easy on the Others. I wondered if Jin knew that Kate took the baby off the island, and then he said so. Why in God's name would he take it back and tell Claire Aaron's at the temple?

Claire was not alone the three years, she had a friend: UnLocke. Or whatever form he was at that time.

Together they will go to the temple and kick ass. Which Jacob already sees coming.

Also Matthew Fox is one of the best actors on a show full of great acting.

I wouldn't call Claire the new Rousseau. They're actually opposite.

Kate Austen was on the lighthouse dial as number 51, not crossed off.

Interesting that name 108 on the dial is Wallace. Possibly a shoutout to David Wallace?
