If it was by the spring, then he was 'claimed'? If that's so, then it would suggest that not every claimed person is as psychopathic as Danielle Rousseau's companions. (Ben's a sociopath, not a psycho) Then again, he might not have died like Sayyid. (and they would've likely killed him then) If not, then why would healing him take his innocence?
