However, knowing my own taste I am pretty sure I wouldn't love the show as much as I love Cameron's film.
Is it worth mentioning that the cartoon series has steampunk airships and fleets of hundreds of ironclad warships firing massive artillery barrages at magic-wielding martial artists?
Because the animated series does have a fair amount of badass action and impressive explosions to go alongside the more interesting story elements.
The main bad guy never nonachalently strap himself into a battle mech whilst his arm is on fire and then combat-rolls out of an exploding dropship though, which was my favourite scene in Cameron-AVATAR
