Would it have been magically "better" if she'd mentioned that one of the tech-head guys was cute instead?
No. They literally just met, which didn't help either. It would've been better if it didn't feel like a tack-on in the first place. They were referencing who does or doesn't "like girls," and it literally had me feeling like I'd missed something. Maybe it was something Joss wanted to flesh out if there had been more Epitaph eps. While trying to wrap up so many other plot threads, all it seemed to do was distract. I would've been fine with giving her another kind of resolution, but I suppose it explains why she wasn't with that other guy. (for lack of remembering his name)
In the end, I think the parts I'll try to remember from Dollhouse are the ones from mid season 2. You get more Topher, Victor, etc, and a little less Echo-centric.
The sword might be grateful to the forge fire, but never fond of it.

It was a really good episode. Especially compared to the previous one.

Anyone else confused by the decision to make Felicia Day's character a lesbian?
