If you're serious though, then I have to call you out on that. Avatar recouped costs a long time ago. Official budget numbers aren't really out there as far as I can tell, but even the most fantastic estimates put Avatar's cost at about 500 million. According to the box office sites out there, Avatar's worldwide gross is currently over 1.8 billion.


because I don't think ANY movie should cost 500 million to make and unless Cameron forked over some of his own dough, I doubt any studio would put up that kind of money.
