3D IMAX is worth the extra money... Raserei Send a noteboard - 21/12/2009 08:40:57 AM
Because face it, that's what it was meant for. Allowing yourself to envelope in the lushness of the movie is what is intended.

And face this, has James Cameron been the sort of man to bring exquisite stories to fruition, or does he take an idea and not just run with it, but pick it up, throw it on his back, and lead it across the finish line?

Yeah, thought so.

He's a director that's adept at exposing the gruntliness of the peculiar, strange, and expansive; perhaps to even explore duty. But a man to peel the onion? To expose depths in the epic tale? That, not so much.

But he's a visionary like no other. I can't fault him for that. I won't be at all surprised if he collects several Academy Awards from this spectacle.

Overall, I'd give it 3.75 out of 5 units.
That's the whole trouble. You can't ever find
a place that's nice and peaceful, because there isn't any.
You may think there is, but once you get there, when you're not looking,
somebody'll sneak up and write "F*ck you" right under your nose.
