1. What is your favourite classic TV sitcom (by "classic" I generally mean anything before 2000 and the reality TV/medical drama/HBO-ization/cable dilution of the market phenomena)? Why?
I'll go for Blackadder. Although the first season is a little ropey the other three more than make up for it. It also contains the greatest ever single episode of a TV show in Blackadder Goes Forth's Goodbyeee.
2. Who is your favourite classic TV character? (Not necessarily from the same sitcom as above)
Hmmm, not sure if you mean to stick to sitcoms or not. My favourite pre-2000 sitcom character would probably be Patsy from AbFab. Overall my favourite sitcom would be Bernard Black
3. Do you like watching re-runs of old TV shows? If so, what are a few you like watching?
I'd watch some stuff if there was nothing else on, but I wouldn't make a date or anything.
4. Do you own any TV sitcoms on DVD? If so, which ones?
Black Books, Spaced, Ab Fab, Blackadder
5. What decade would you consider the "golden age" of the sitcom?
None really, every decade has it's good and bad stuff
6. Laugh tracks - irritating or bearable?
Irritating
7. What sitcom did you hate the most and why?
Keeping Up Appearances
8. What character on a TV sitcom irritated you the most and why?
I don't really remember any annoying characters on shows that I watched
9. Which evil twin or brother/sister did you like best and why?
I don't ever recal watching a show with an evil twin in it
10. What spinoff do you think was the best? The worst?
Fraiser, a spinoff better than the original

I didn't forget about them per se
Just didn't connect them with "evil" straight away.

Although quite absurd, "Knight Rider" wasn't technically a sitcom

I'm not sure Black Adder is quite a "sitcom"
