There were so many moments that were so sweet and tender in the show. I thought the lab assistant finally opening up and sharing about his own motivations because of his grandad's influence only added to the atmosphere surrounding Booth's relationship with his grandfather.

When Booth's grandfather told Bones the truth about Booth's dad and made her promise one day to tell him and then hold him because every man needs someone in that moment... Whew! I'm tearing up just thinking about it!

The scene of him getting "lost" brought back memories of my own grandfather's decline into Alzheimer's disease. And especially when he told Booth his war buddy died and nobody told him. I watched my own grandfather live his last days out in a VA home with other veterans, many of whom had Alzheimer's. It has always stuck with me watching all the men in the home revert back to their nicknames from the war and watching them interact even though most had never even served with each other or met each other before.

And how funny were the scenes with him dancing in the "feeding club" and him "working" in the hardware store?

It was truly a great episode as far as an episode can be great.
