Glee: Sue surprised me, and in a good way. Her affinity to the mentally disabled was touching, and the scene with her sister was sweet. I swear, the woman's like an onion. Underneath all that rank hostility are layers of complex emotions and traits. Quinn utterly disgusts me. The way she treats Finn really got on my nerves. I am eager for the day Finn discovers the truth! Wheelchair kid and the Korean chick storyline was okay, but I thought Wheels was being snobby with the K-chick.
Yeah, Artie kind of pissed me off with that. But maybe he'll be able to get over it.
Totally agree on Sue. I honestly cried during that final scene with her sister And I am also pleasantly surprised to see how the relationship between Kurt and his Dad is developing. It was so touching the way his Dad went to bat for him over the solo, and that Kurt threw it because he knew his Dad wasn't really ready for him to be quite so "out there". I laughed out loud at his dad's attempt to comfort him: "You sing like a girl! ...In a good way."
Fun fact: Ryan Murphy specifically wrote that song into the script for Kurt because Chris Colfer wanted to sing it in high school, but was never allowed to perform it because he's a boy.
The whole Quinn/Finn/Puck storyline is a big ol' mess. Honestly though, I thought this episode brought an element of reality to it. You see how two immature teenagers (scared of being pregnant and terrified that their parents are going to find out) deal with this issue as they start to get past the fantasy elements of it and deal with the realities of being a pregnant teenage couple. I found it refreshing to see them worried about something as real as how to pay for the doctors' bills instead of whether they're as popular as they used to be.
