What else can I tell all you Jackson fans out there other than:
Go see THIS IS IT!
This Is It is made for the fans, this is a very emotionally charged homage to Michael Jackson, filled with both humour and a great sense of sadness that brought me very close to tears.
It's mostly a concert movie based on Michaels rehearsals during march-june with bits of documentary in it.
With great tempo we get to see Michael performing his most famous hits in front of an audience consisting of a handful of people, including his singer/dancers.
Man in the Mirror, Thriller, Smooth Criminal and Billie Jean are just a few of the songs performed by Michael and his dancers and musicians. Most of them are performed with a complete stage set, pyrotechnics and special effects thrown in. You can tell he and his crew were all set for the concerts that were to have begun just a few weeks after his passing.
We get to see Michael working with and directing his crew, the creative team working on the wardrobe, the stage, the dance moves. Also we get short interviews with dancers, coreographers, musicians and producers.
Nothing more I will spoil. This will be a very personal experience for every single viewer.
I can tell you I was never any big fan of Jackson before even though I enjoyed some of his songs like The Lost Children, Earth Song, They Don't Care About Us and Smooth Criminal.
Jackson's passing was still a shock to me and I can tell I was looking forward to see what This Is It would have supposed to be like. And I am absolutely sure had the concerts gone off according to plan, This Is It would have been a smash hit.
Rest in peace, Michael Jackson

"I didn't have much to say to anybody but kept to myself and my books. With my eyes closed, I would touch a familiar book and draw it's fragrance deep inside me. This was enough to make me happy."
