Movies where everything the character believes turns out to be a delusion have to work really hard not to be trite clichés, and while this movie is technically better than most of its kind, it doesn't really add anything new to the trope.
Besides, having some experience with delusional people, I can't help but be amused at just how unrealistically they are portrayed in such movies. A unique mental illness comforming perfectly to a twisting plot, you might say.
