When a show like Star Wars ignores basic physics I give them a pass because they really are more futuristic fantasy than actual science fiction. This show though gives the trappings of science but having reduced gravity on the elevator going through the hub and time delays in communication. Then it goes and has the spinning habitats stop because they lose power. It would take massive amounts of energy to stop those giant habitats and you would give zero G when it happened but if they stopped that suddenly you would smash into the wall since you would still be moving. The problems with the ship were pretty stupid as well. With that much computing power losing one module would either crash the entire system right away or it just shut down some none essential systems, like android bartenders. It was pretty but dumb.
