It's very politically correct and every statement like the one by Legolas just reinforces it. I remember when "Vikings" started I said, "If they try to incorporate the 'noble' black guy into this series I'm not watching it." By the same token (pun again intended), I don't like the movies that try to cast white people in non-white roles (like that horrible Exodus movie). I understand why they did it back in the 1950s and 1960s but now it makes no sense.
If Legolas believes for one instant that Disney wasn't checking the box during casting then I have a bridge here in New York to sell him.
