As for 'reducing the males', that's your personal view of Finn, hardly a fact. I don't see him as reduced, nor are the other guys.
Leia always had an important role as a political leader, as did Padme in the prequels, but it was about time that at least one female Jedi came to prominence. Or Sith, I'm not picky. Cannoli will argue that men are simply naturally stronger physically and he's right, but the Force is one hell of an equalizer, unless for some reason that too is stronger in men than in women, which I haven't seen anyone claim.
And seriously, just because there are some people who take feminism or 'Black Lives Matter' a bit far doesn't mean the concepts should be flushed down the toilet. Even in the West, and much more so elsewhere, we're still a long way from real gender parity, never mind an 'anti-white guy society'.
