Unlike Episodes 8 and 9, there wasn't much that we didn't already know from the books. Arya goes blind. Check. Dany meets the khalasar. Check. Jon is stabbed (to death?). Check. Cersei takes her walk of shame. Check. Mountainstein lives. Check. Myrcella is likely dead (not in the books), but we knew from the beginning of the season that she would be killed. Varys didn't murder Kevan Lannister or Grand Maester Pycelle, nor will he likely do so. Stannis is almost certainly dead (but maybe Brienne hacked at the tree?) and we at least know his army really lost, but that was never something most people cared about.

Compare that with Episode 8's Walkerfest and Episode 9's amazing Tyrion-Dany storyline, and it's sort of disappointing.

For readers, it was a little too much by the numbers. In a way that gave me peace after I felt the first half of the season had nothing in common with the books we are almost at everyone's position at the end of DWD now. That's good.

There was a lot of death though, so I am pretty sure someone among Myrcella, Jon, Stannis is not dead.
Killing Myrcella would be pretty extreme, considering she only loses an ear in the books. But they made a case with the poison when Bronn had it, so she's the most likely one. How did we know it from the beginning, btw?
I wonder if Brienne found it in her heart not to behead a helpless man leaning against a tree. I'd actually prefer it if she didn't.
And then there's Jon. There was no hint whatsoever about warging into Ghost, so I guess it's up to Meli now, who needs a new project.

The part I loved the most was Varys returning. I have little doubt that him and Tyrion will calm this city down. Dany returning with an army of riders plus dragon might help too, of course.
