Some assume it will be by Brienne's hand, though. She is around Winterfell after all, and still out for revenge because of Renly. Of course that'd be even more to pack into the final episode.
View original postIt makes sense. He looks at Melisandre quizzically as he slowly dies, and she says, "I saw the hero in the fire, but it wasn't you. You were always a useful tool, nothing more." It makes viewers happier because after his cold-blooded betrayal of his daughter they can't like him. I thought he was decent until last episode. A hard ass, but still fundamentally decent and fair.
I liked him just fine until this episode, book-Stannis too.
Interesting discussion behind the link about the change of burning the child compared to the book where it did not happen (yet) and the reasons behind it.
View original postWe will probably see little of Dany in the next episode, and maybe little of Jon. King's Landing will be the focus, and Winterfell, I believe. If you look at the trailer it's a big Sansa moment, a big Stannis moment, Cersei in jail, a brief clip of Tyrion and Jorah and an overvoice "You betrayed her!" by Tyrion, and Sam asking Jon "So what are you going to do?"
I never watch the previews
View original postAm I the only one who really doesn't care much about the Arya storyline? It was cooler in the books. Also, because I really want to see the Dany, Jon and Winterfell scenes advance I get irritated when I see King's Landing, Dorne or Braavos. It wasn't like that early in the season but it's like that now.
I like Arya and her storyline just fine, but it's a tad disconnected to the overall events. Of course, that's gonna change in the (not-so?) distant future. Meryn Trant won't be the last person Arya can scratch off her kill list personally.

Game of Thrones just keeps getting better than the books every week (contains "spoilers" )
