I am sure a lot of people found the last few weeks a tad too unspectacular, but I thought they did a terrific job at getting you closer to characters you considered fresh meat from the get go. Now there is, give or take, a dozen that I'd really hate to lose. That was really brilliantly done.
As for the showdown: It ended up not as gloomy as I feared, but I was still on the edge of my seat the entire time. Such an intense show!
Halfway through the sequence of the snipers chasing them through the complex and the candle lit room I thought: the real twist would now be that the Terminus people aren't evil but herding them to a place where they are forced to chill, repent and become human again, like a ritual cleansing of sorts. Of course that didn't happen. I'd still be pretty disappointed if they turn out to be cannibals. That's so predictable. It's also pretty unbelievable how nicely and thoroughly they set up their radio signal, maps, signs and salad fields just to turn out to be evil? Meh. I like to think that humans in this situation would unite rather than try backstabbing each other in order to survive, at least at this magnitude.
Pretty pissed there is no sign of Beth. If she ended up on the grill off camera, that'd be so cruel and evil I'd feel like not watching anymore (ok, who am I kidding, I still would...)
Loved Rick's last line, though. I hope he wipes them all out, if they continue this BS. Can't wait for October.
You mustn't be afraid to dream a little bigger, darling.
