I was a little bummed by it, because everyone assumed he was close to finished by now and the big casting announcements would arrive later this year. I loved his work for Toy Story 3 and Little Miss Sunshine, too.
Kasdan hasn't exactly delivered the goods in a pretty long time, but he knows what SW is about, that's for sure. Same goes for J.J. who always was a big fanboy.
I suppose we won't ever know if we dodged a bullet now or things got worse, unless the film comes out one day and disappointed people dig out this other script later for comparison.

I just hope they can keep up the 2015 release date, which seems a bit unlikely now.
