View original postJohn enjoyed it more than I did, but I still had an awfully good time. I agree on the visuals, I loved some of the characters and I liked the global feel of it. One of my favorite scenes was the arrival in Hong Kong, with the bays for the Jaegers. Cool. As was Mr. Elba*.
View original postI thought it was fairly predictable (not necessarily in a bad way - more comforting), and I liked the kookiness of it. John thinks I'm silly on this, but I was disappointed that the Russian Jaeger and the Asian Jaeger went down so quickly. I suppose it IS silly, but these contraptions have been around for how long? And then they get wiped out in one scene. Just so Gypsy can look cooler. I do not like that sort of thing.
No, I agree. We should have seen some more of their kickassness before them going down. This way they looked just like cannon fodder.
View original postEh, and I'm not sure I didn't miss this scene you mentioned. Was it at the END end? Or just after the initial section of credits? The one with the shoe?
Yeah that one. I noticed that most Americans (saw it at the cinema near the air base, hence at US release date) don't stay during these so even if it wasn't after the entire end credits I am sure a lot of people missed out on it.
