View original postThe real question is, how many book fans would continue watching the show if it passed the books? I'm not sure that I would. I like the books quite a bit more than I like the show, and get a lot more satisfaction from them. If possible, I'd like to experience the rest of the story through the books first, before I watch the slightly watered down adaptation. The show would still be there to watch later on, after all.

...I would watch the shit out of the ending of that series instead of waiting for Mr. Martin to finish writing. I would never forgive myself for skipping the season(s) that aren't out in written form yet and then getting spoiled about the ending on the internet.
I like the show version of the series well enough to replace the book version with it if he doesn't speed up his output towards the solution of the show.
