Or it would if he weren't a useless whining moron, anyway.

It doesn't really change the story, and it makes for a better movie.
If you're going to go to the trouble of expanding the almost non-existent Orcish vocabulary that Tolkien left (and grammar, no doubt), you could at least use it for something less vapid than empty not remotely scary threats and whining about inadequate underlings.
As it is, I'm going to have to say it would've been a better movie without him, and without the Orcs talking in Orcish. The Goblin King was much better.

I wouldn't call it a rash - more like chafing.

I think two words have killed this movie for me: "orc nemesis"

To be fair, it's an orc nemesis from the books.

There was not an orc nemesis in the books

There actually was in Tolkein's mind, it is just contained in a different book. *NM*

If you haven't seen it, you really can't judge. It's not a big deal

I hated it, but I know I will be in the minority.

I think any of those changes need to be viewed with the question, "Did it make a better movie?"

Radagast? Bunny Sledge? Archrival Azog? The whole goblin cavern scene? It's a massacre alright. *NM*
