And on an intellectual level I not only understand what you're saying, but actually agree with it and think the show is better for it. But on a purely emotional level I want to see epic carnage and feats of badassery. 
I'll try approaching it with more of your perspective in the future though, and as I said, I do certainly like the show. So I should get back to it, I'm still a little less than halfway through season 4.

They do string out the deaths, but things also change, especially in seasons 4-5
